"You lot Don't Know How Information technology Feels" is a vocal and the lead single from Tom Little'due south 1994 album, Wildflowers. The track features aboveboard lyrics describing the songwriter'southward desire for personal and professional autonomy.[4]

The single reached No. i on the Us Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart, No. 3 on the Canadian RPM Elevation Singles nautical chart, and No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Picayune's last top-40 hit in the US. An alternate version was posthumously released on June 26, 2020.[5] This version peaked at No. 54 on the iTunes chart.[six]

MTV, VH1 and many radio stations aired a censored version of "You lot Don't Know How Information technology Feels," taking the word "curlicue" out of "let's roll another joint", too as a version that played the word "joint" backwards. A version replacing the word "curlicue" with "hit" was also fabricated.[7] The music video won the MTV Video Music Award for All-time Male Video in 1995. The girl in the video is Raven Snow; she as well appeared in several episodes of Zalman King'south Red Shoe Diaries and the film Delta of Venus as lounge vocalizer Leila.

"Girl on LSD" [edit]

Piffling originally intended the B-side of the single, "Girl on LSD", to appear on Wildflowers, only Warner Bros. refused because information technology was too controversial.[four] In the vocal Petty sings nigh being in love with multiple girls on unlike drugs: marijuana, cocaine, LSD, beer, crystal meth, china white (a slang term for heroin) and coffee. In the chorus Niggling states: "Through ecstasy, crystal meth and glue/I constitute no drug compares to you/all these pills, all this weed/I dunno simply what I need."
