Wtf I Am Tired Signing Into Google Over Over Again
Thank you very much, I but figured out this process too myself and I answered another thread before seeing your answer :) Hither is the detailed procedure I wrote, it'due south only text and without straight links. Perhaps can this assist. The solution remains exactly the same. This one is simply for Gmail.
In your browser, go to your Gmail account and log in :
- Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner and select "Settings."
- In Settings, click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- In the IMAP Access surface area, check "Enable IMAP."
- Click the Save Changes button.
Adjacent, authorize Mail to employ your Gmail account:
- Go to google.com, log into your Google account, and click on your photo in the upper right corner, then click the "My Account" button.
- Next, navigate to Sign-in & Security > Connected Apps & Sites > Allow less secure apps, then prepare that pick to "ON." (Don't become fooled by Google'southward marketing, all email applications are very secure.)
- Expect for a minute or two for the change to take
Finally, configure your Gmail account manually in the Windows 10 Mail app :
- Add together business relationship, choose "Advanced configuration", and then "Eastward-postal service on internet"
- Proper name of account : "Gmail" (the proper name that will appears in the app)
- Your name : "yourname" (what will appear in your recipients inbox)
- Incoming mail server : "imap.gmail.com:993:1"
- Account type : "IMAP4"
- User proper noun : "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***"
- Password : "xxxxxxxxx" (password to your Google business relationship)
- Approachable mail service server : "smtp.gmail.com:465:1"
- and go on the next iv boxes checked... click the open session button

I've been getting the0x8007042b "Something went wrong" error in the Mail service and Calendar apps on my Windows 10 desktop PC when trying to add my gmail account, always since upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 and it is very annoying, so I am very happy Microsoft has acknowledged this issue.
I hope to encounter a fix soon, considering this is kinda embarrassing, I can connect to my gmail account merely fine on my Windows phone, but not on my Windows 10 PC.

I've encountered this event, though when first using the app it worked simply fine. Anyways none of these "piece of work around" setups have worked, all gave an fault message, each in some different fashion. Subsequently hours and days of trying to solve this I've opted to merely get to my email through edge for the fourth dimension being until there is an update or set. With that, you said this consequence will exist addressed in a future release, do we have a date or specific fourth dimension? or at least an approximate ane? Any given time frame would be appreciated.

I tried what yous suggested with the outlook account, and all I go along getting when I try to do it the mode suggested is that "this does not await like a work or school email" and it will not go through.

After setting upward iii accounts in Windows 10 mail, 2 Gmails and one Outlook, today one Gmail stopped syncing although the account is active and can be accessed on anyother device, from Android to Kindle, as well equally a Windows 10 lap top, via the mail app.
I deleted the account on the PC in question and tried to install it again, and go on to get the something went wrong fault, and used some of the suggestions in this forum. I accept turned off the virus protection software and other things recommended. At that place have been no changes to this machine, in the last couple of days, other than Windows updates.
Any suggestions or advice would be welcomed.

My account stopped syncing ii days ago, and the fault code reads 0x8000ffff. I get no error or problems on my other devices, just my Thinkpad tablet which has been updated to Windows 10 despite lack of official support from folks from Intel and the such.

I accept attempted the procedure suggested several times without success. My gmail account stopped syncing and so I deleted it from the Mail app and have been attempting to reconnect it. What's going on and how do I ready information technology? Really annoying!!
